As part of contract administration APS Architectural Design can carry out site visits to assess the quality of the Building Contractors work.
Works on site will be closely checked as to whether the correct materials are being used as well as its correct application. All works will be checked against approved plans and consequently that all works are in line with planning and Building Regulations approval. It will be at these inspections that the Contractor is made aware of any discrepancies or amendments to the design with the appropriate documentation put in place to officially notify the building Contractor where applicable. Site visits for the purposes of inspection and issuing interim payment certificates continue until the end of the construction period. The handover of a project at the end of the construction period is a very important part of the process and marks the stage of Practical Completion.
